The profiles of candidates for the 2013—2015 AAUW Board of Director are now available. The Spring/Summer 2013 issue of AAUW Outlook will include candidate profiles and information on issues. Members are encouraged to share and discuss the issues and candidates at branch meetings and other forums of their choice. Online voting will open April 15, 2013.
The American Association of University Women (AAUW) and the WAGE Project will provide nearly 200 $tart $mart salary negotiation workshops throughout the 2012–13 academic year to prepare college women to negotiate their salaries and benefits as they enter the job market.
Virginia LeBlanc, former director of Indiana University’s Hudson and Holland Scholars Program, filed a complaint against the university in federal district court alleging gender discrimination and unfair pay. LeBlanc says she filed the lawsuit after encountering resistance to her attempts to resolve the pay disparity internally.
